OUR PASTOR

Pastor Lonnie Ray Spates is a native and current resident of Bossier City, LA. God has entrusted him to be married to the love of his life and ministry partner Evangelist Angela Spates for over 22 years. They are extremely blessed to have four children and four beautiful granddaughters.

    He was filled with the Holy Ghost in July 1995 at the New Testament United Pentecostal Church in Shreveport, LA under the pastorate of his father in the gospel; the late Bishop Richard V Allmon and Lady Lois Allmon. He was mentored in the areas of prayer and leadership by Bishop Vernon Brite his current pastor and served his church family in ministry for fourteen years and also became a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.

    Pastor Spates is the founder and senior pastor of the City of Truth Worship Center currently located at 616 Thompson Street in Bossier City, LA. God has richly blessed them to win many souls and he and his wife still find great enjoyment in teaching home and community bible studies, marriage enrichment classes, hosting revival services, preaching men and women conferences as well as teaching in the prisons which they have done over many years and had the joy of baptizing and witnessing many souls receive the precious gift of the Holy Ghost.

      Pastor Spates attended schools in Bossier Parish and is also a business entrepreneur. He is the founder and current owner of L & A Painting Co, LLC where he  has served  the community in transforming and beautifying building and homes  through commercial and residential painting and some remodeling since 2004.

     Pastor Spates feels very honored, blessed, and privileged to be able to mentor his children and have them serve with him in ministry and secular work.

He has a passion to take a resounding message to the body of Christ; “Be Encouraged, You will Make It!”
